Are COVID-19 cases declining?

Since the discovery of the first coronavirus case in Wuhan a city in China, we have seen a surge of cases all over the world. Due to the quick transmission and multiple modes of transmission the virus spread all over them in a very speedy manner. After China imposed a strict lockdown and tried to flatten the curve it partially succeeded and the number of cases went down day by day. But in the other countries where the government didn’t took it seriously and the public was allowed to move out during the days of the pandemic, they are now suffering from the high number of cases and mortality rates.

Take an example of Italy or the United State, where daily cases crossed more than 20000, and per day deaths crossed more then 1000 due to the corona virus. These countries saw a peak that was way higher than the Chinese peak. Almost 11.4 million people have been affected by the coronavirus until now.

According to the official data by different countries, some countries have managed to lower the number of per day or per weak cases through different measures such as travel bans and smart lockdowns. But this happened only in a few countries. If we see the overall number of cases worldwide it is still on the rise.

Can COVID-19 symptoms come and go?

COVID-19 is fatal for people with a weaker immune system but it also affects the healthy and strong people as well. The fatality rate differs according to the age groups. Nobody can predict the possible behavior of COVID-19 for everyone. It is possible that you catch the COVID-19 and nothing happens to you at all. You don’t even sneeze for once.

Also, it is possible you might get a fever or some lung problems. It is also possible that you be on the ventilator for some time as well. It is for sure seen that the 97% of the patients recover from coronavirus. People with severe health conditions are also surviving through the use of different medications. To answer this question, according to scientists it is possible, but it not the same for all. That is why no study can predict about it definitely.

Does COVID-19 get weaker in time?

According to clinical trials and patients’ histories, our body develops the antibodies to weaken the coronavirus that means that our body’s immune systems start to fight the coronavirus as time passes. These antibodies weaken the virus and eliminate it completely and then the person fully recovers from the COVID-19.

This time period can vary from person to person. For some people, they recovered in a short time of 3 to 5 days completely and their tests were negatives within a week. But for others, it took 14 to 21 days of treatment and isolation to recover.

This is a new type of virus and there is no exact study that can give us enough information to understand the patterns of coronavirus and also there is no vaccine. It is better to stay at home in quarantine.
